Criccieth (East) Beach is only a short walk from the house. Gentle waves, perfect for paddling and sandcastle building

Criccieth West (Marine) Beach is mainly shingle. Rock pools, shells, and beautiful sunsets

Both are safe, spacious, and ideal for family strolls.

Other local Beaches include:

Morfa Bychan, known locally as Black Rock Sands, is a sandy beach, with rocky areas- although the rocks aren’t actually black.  The beach stretches for about 2 miles.  There are plenty of rockpools to explore here as well as some interesting caverns. This beach is just beyond Criccieth beach.

Harlech Beach provides a four-mile stretch of pristine golden sand, with stunning views of the Snowdonia mountain range. Harlech Castle is also well worth a visit.

Abersoch Beach has golden sands and is popular for water sports

Llanbedrog Beach has golden sands that give way to shallow seas that are ideal for swimming in the warmer months.

Aberdaron Beach is positioned at the end of the Llŷn Peninsula and set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are watersports, pristine sand and limpid pools.

Morfa Nefyn, resting within striking distance of Ty Coch Inn, officially one of the best beach bars in the world! Its in a sheltered bay with a natural harbour on the Lleyn Heritage Coast. Stroll along the east-facing sands, popular with fishermen, before finding the intriguing 200-year-old pub that cannot be driven to!

Porth Iago boasts calm and crystal-clear waters, offering a superb opportunity for swimming and kayaking. Additionally, the rocks on the northern side of the beach make an exceptional spot for fishing, with bass being caught here often. Avid ramblers can walk part of the Wales Coast Path.
